God has continued to sustain His ministry as the first half of 2025 passes by. May God’s excellent works be seen, that He alone may be glorified in this!
The church has been going through the book of 1 John since March 2, 2025, and God has faithfully sustained the preachers and the rest of the congregation as the series ended last June 22, 2025. May God use His Word to strengthen the faith of our local church through confidence in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ alone. CHC has now begun a new series on the Book of Acts. May the Word of God continue to edify His Church!
CHC is also blessed to grow in the knowledge of the Word through the ongoing series on Reforming Worship. From studying the eternal distinctions of the Three Persons, we have been able to study about the majesty of God as our Creator and the extent of His decree as manifested in His providential works. May God continue to use these studies to help the church grow in trusting God and His perfect will in every season of life.
Coming from last year, our Pastor Xley Miguel has been able to resume CHC’s hermeneutics classes last May 2025 every after our afternoon liturgy on the Lord’s Day. Last year, the classes ended in the middle of the topic of contextual analysis, from which Pastor Xley continued this year finishing the topic, and has also already been able to finish the topic on syntactical analysis and started on verbal analysis towards the end of June. We hope this will be able to allow our church members and attendees to grow in learning more biblical principles and approaches to interpreting and engaging the Word of God.
Our weekend ministries have also been faithfully sustained by God in the last quarter. The women’s book study on the “Order and Honor in the Household” by Samuel Renihan concluded last May 5, 2025. We are thankful to God for using this book for providing a Christ-centered perspective to CHC’s families for practicing a more biblical approach to daily life.
CHC’s Saved Media ministry also continues to be occasionally streamed live on Fridays from the homes of different members of the church. Faithful men in the church have been guests of the podcast to discuss topics in the past quarter such as:
The church is also inching its way towards the end of the book of Revelations as it had its most recent TableTalk session on Revelations 16 last April 18, 2025.
May God use these ministries to help stir a true love for God and His Word in the members of CHC, as well as the ministry’s viewers online.
Our church has also been privileged to have fellowship with other local churches, particularly through supporting them in the ministry of the Word. Pastor Xley Miguel was invited to teach during the Theo-Talk Conference organized by the Association of Reformed Baptist Churches of Calabarzon. Pastor Xley taught on the doctrines of Divine Providence and Concurrence on June 22, 2025 in this conference which took place at Trinity Bible Church in San Pablo, Laguna.
For the services of fellow local churches during the Lord’s Day, Pastor John Lao was able to visit our brethren in Grace Church Sta. Maria in Bulacan last June 8, 2025 to preach on Genesis 2:1-3, while Pastor Xley was able to minister again to Trinity Bible Church in San Pablo, Laguna last June 23, 2025 by preaching on Ecclesiastes 2:12-26. We praise God for enabling our pastors to be used for God’s work in the lives of our brethren from other local churches. This is another clear reminder of how God is building up the body of Christ in the unity of faith through the edification of the Word and Christian fellowship!
Christ’s Heritage Church would highly appreciate your prayers for the following as the church and its members continues to trust and depend on in its Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ:
1 John 5:4-5 ESV For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith. Who is it that overcomes the world except the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?
